Quick and easy "ITH" Stitched and Stitch and Flip Block for hoops 8x8 or larger
Downloadable content included with the course: Project Sheet with supplies and materials list and cutting information. Embroidery files in .jef, .pes and .vp3 formats - 4 designs this month
The blocks this month make my version of a Flag Block. There are two different star blocks, a Stripe, and a Stipple block. One “stars” block and five “stripe” blocks will make a reasonably proportional Flag. The star blocks are all stitching, and the stripe block is stitch and flip. The 20stipple block is an optional addition for the stripe block.
The stripes block is also a great stash buster or scrappy block.
NOTE
This block is part of the yearly 8” BOM Club.
Enrollment in the yearly club includes the “General Instructions” section with detailed information on Stitching, trimming, and joining, Sashing, Invisible Sashing, Applique, Rag Edge Applique, Whole Cloth Backs, Borders and Corners, and how to Bind the blocks.
The General information is also available as the single course
“8 Inch BOM General Instructions.”
Course Curriculum
Hi, I’m PJ
Since 2006 I’ve been a teacher at Montavilla Sewing Centers in the Portland Metro area. I design, produce and teach the monthly projects for Babylock Serger Club, Janome, BabyLock and Brother Machine Embroidery Club, and 8” Block of the month Club.
I have a lot of fun creating projects, designs, and patterns that incorporate techniques and products to encourage the students to get the most out of their Sergers or Embroidery Machines.
