Quick and easy "ITH" Stump Work and Raw Edge Applique
blocks for hoops 8x8 or larger
April Showers bring May Flowers – I’m not sure what April Snow brings! The Blocks this month are a version of 3D Flowers – the flower has four independent clean-finished petals with a raw edge applique center. This block uses two hooping. The first hooping creates the petals; the second hooping makes the block. The Centers are a 1 ¾” circle and can be cut with a die cutter. A printable pattern and svg file are included for hand and digital cutting. Some of my brilliant students pointed out that this would make a great Tactile Blanket! You could easily use Minky for the base and Satin for the flowers, and have a lot of nice texture.

Hi I'm PJ
Since 2006 I’ve been a teacher at Montavilla Sewing Centers in the Portland Metro area. I design, produce and teach the monthly projects for Babylock Serger Club, Janome, BabyLock and Brother Machine Embroidery Club, and 8” Block of the month Club.
I have a lot of fun creating projects, designs, and patterns that incorporate techniques and products to encourage the students to get the most out of their Sergers or Embroidery Machines.
